Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdemultimedia

KsCD can't play any audio CD on my system (Jaunty Beta) and this seems to be quite widely reported (not Jaunty specific issue).
http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/403924-cd-rom-audio-problem-suse-11-1-a.html

Details :
- No audio cable
- SATA drives

When I insert a CD in my CDROM drive the CD is properly recognized by
the device manager of KDE4. However when I try to access it using the
audiocd:/ protocol or KsCD it complains that "no disc is inserted". I've
configured my CD play in KDE so that it points to /dev/scd0, which is my
CD device where I read CDs, but nothing...

The only workaround I have currently is to play CDs using Kaffeine from
the universe repository...

** Affects: kdemultimedia (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
