Since there seems to be no problem with EXA under Compiz/Gnome, it seems
to me that this is also an issue with kwin (which lies in the kdebase-
workspace source packages).

I agree that the importance of this bug should be set to high. Kubuntu
Jaunty is indeed barely usable with Intel graphics unless UXA is
activated.
