[Bug 367320] [NEW] Network manager applet does not resize correctly when panel is moved between screen edges

Public bug reported:

Moving the panel from the left to the bottom screen edge also changes
the size of the panel.  (The panel remembers separate width and height
settings).  Most applets seem to resize correctly when this happens.
However, the network manager applet does not resize itself at all.
