I just downloaded the final release of Jaunty Jackalope. I left Kubuntu
nearly a year ago because of ridiculous bugs like this and I see nothing
has changed. There should not have to be a workaround installed on a
fresh install of Kubuntu. If it doesn't work then dont' put it in.

Thanks for concreting my decision to no longer use this distro.
