Public bug reported:

Hi, with Intrepid, my multimedia keys on my MS Wireless Entertainment
Keyboard were configured by default such that play/pause/next/previous
worked in whatever media programs (amarok, vlc) I was running.

After upgrading to Jaunty, there are no longer any default key bindings
for these keys. I can configure the bindings for Amarokin Global
Keyboard Shortcuts from System Settings/Keyboard & Mouse, but this will
obviously only take effect for Amarok.

It seems to me that sensible global defaults would be to assign the
relevant function to the keys, and pass it through to the relevant
program like Intrepid, but allow the customisation where necessary.
