Just got updated a few days to a prerelease of 1.6.3: https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/2:1.6.2.901-1ubuntu1
It's having a bit of trouble building at the moment, though. Once they fix the build issues we will have a fixed Xserver in Karmic.
