[Bug 418563] [NEW] Nonsense format of date

Kmail uses the non-sense date format 12-31-2009

This format was probably designed in contest to find most logical date
format, and then implement the exact opposite.

While this could be a matter of preference, it would be really good to
have option to change this format (perhaps this is problem with KDE or
system locales, not in kmail).

In kmail I mean for example the dates of groups when grouping in mails
view.
