Thanks for the information. Tried disabling using mentioned version of
Amarok on my Jaunty installation and the OSD disappeared right away.

Can you please try to remove all your Amarok configuration and see if
that helps. If possible you can try to upgrade to Amarok 2.1.1 and see
if the problem persists.
