ran kdeinit in a console and usage went down to near 15% system total.
not sure what happened. output below.

It looks like dcopserver is already running. If you are sure
that it is not already running, remove /home/araknyd/.DCOPserver_COSMIC-XPRESS__0
and start dcopserver again.
