[Bug 415023] Re: brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100

Using the latest PPA works for me on an MSI with board_name "U90/U100".
There are a couple of things I've noticed:

      * On logging into the session, a brightness change notification is
        shown for about a second, which has no effect. This is just a
        very minor cosmetic issue.
      * While using the netbook, the function keys for changing the
        brightness work fine, as does the auto-dimming setting in
        gnome-power-manager when disconnecting from the mains supply.
        However, automatically restoring the brightness level after
        connecting the power back no longer works.

But this are just two minor issues. In short, this patch has made my
netbook usable on Karmic again. Thanks!
