Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdebase
I have a number of .desktop files created under Gnome. I tried to change
its icon but it failed with the message: "Could not save properties. You
do not have sufficient access to write to /home/rac/xxx.desktop"
I created a .desktop file via KDE and I could change the icon correctly.
I then examined the differences between the files and discovered that
the above error is created when the desktop file contains a line like
the following:
Icon[en_US]=gnome-panel-clock
The KDE-created desktop file only contains an "Icon=xxx" line, but no
"Icon[en_US]=xxx". Removing this line makes the desktop file editable
again.
