[Bug 392278] [NEW] Kwin delays opening of windows, dialogues, dropdowns

When compositing is enabled, windows, dialogues, any object seemingly
managed by X are delayed by up to a full second before opening. This is
on a fast machine, with an ATI-based graphics card for reference.

This is most apparent of dropdown menus.
