Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kopete
First off: I'm using Karmic with the backports version of KDE (4.3.3) installed which I know aren't officially supported.
Now the problem: Kopete is *very* crashy, and I can't produce a sensible bugreport because the debug symbols in the backports are broken, at least for kopete:
j at Brutus:~$ sudo aptitude install kopete-dbgsym
[sudo] password for j:

The following packages are BROKEN:
kopete-dbgsym
0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 35.7MB of archives. After unpacking 102MB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kopete-dbgsym: Depends: kopete (= 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu4) but 4:4.3.3-0ubuntu1~ppa2 is installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:
Downgrade the following packages:
kopete [4:4.3.3-0ubuntu1~ppa2 (now) -> 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu4 (karmic)]
Score is 80
Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?] q
Abandoning all efforts to resolve these dependencies.
Abort.
Now not being able to create a useful bugreport when something is amiss
is driving me nuts, so I decided to make a bugreport anyway.
** Affects: kopete (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
