I've just completed an upgrade from hardy i386 to intrepid i386 beta. I
can no longer log into a gnome session. It hangs with a blank light
brown screen. The mouse responds fine, and I can return to the gdm login
window with ctrl+alt+backspace. If I try logging into "failsafe gnome"
by choosing an alternate session from the session manager, this allows
me to start gnome.
