[Bug 315560] [NEW] adept does not find new updates

Public bug reported:

On my laptop with Kubuntu 8.10, the "new update avaible" trayicon (is correct english trayicon?) does not appear. If I try to open adept and do fetch package list, no new update is avaible.
Instead, doing from the konsole "sudo apt-get upgrade", I can normally download all the new updates.
