[Bug 271622] [NEW] keyboard shortcut for Application Launcher in kde 4 stopped working

I am running Intrepid Alpha 5 with latest (till 2008-09-18) updates. For
me, the keyboard shortcut for the Application Launcher (aka Kickoff)
worked only the first few times I booted into my Intrepid Alpha 5
installation. After that, though in System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse >
Keyboard Shortcuts > Plasma Workspace > Application Launcher shortcut is
set to Alt + F1 (the default) I am totally unable to use this shortcut.

This *may* be related to bug 182719.
