I can confirm this bug to.

And I must say that for Ubuntu to be a real competitor to Leopard or
even win 7/vista/xp there is a need to slow progress down (implementing
new cool features) and focus more on making instable systems more
stable! of course one should implement the really neat things but
overall there should be a higher focus on stability!
