[Bug 397527] [NEW] Plasma crashes opening/closing windows

Public bug reported:

Often, when a window is closed, Plasma will crash.  For example:  I
start a Send/Receive in Evolution and once the process has completed and
the Send/Receive window is closed, Plasma fails.

This is a report based on the following bug:

...which is reportedly fixed in the main KDE codebase and in Red Hat,
but several Kubuntu users using the latest packages are still
experiencing the problem.

I'm using kdebase-workspace 4.2.95-0ubuntu1~jaunty-ppa3.
