This would be nasty regardless of how you attempt to do it. If you
wanted separate branding packages then ubuntu-desktop and kubuntu-
desktop etc would all have to depend on them which would cause problems
with installation I suppose it would be less non-deterministic than
using alternatives but it wouldn't be much better.
