Well things are advancing, I changed the header to the one in libqt4-dev
and it still worked however changing the bin directory to of my local
install to /usr/bin where the qt dev tools are installed made it hanged.
I change the permission to match those of the kubuntu install. Here are
the list of some binaries that are missing from the source build. Note
that I had libqt4-dev and libqt4-tools-dev and still didn't work.

new file ----> qdbusxml2cpp.debug

I could try and copy them in /usr/bin one by one see if it makes it work, and it might also be something else altogether...
