I am *not* on Kubuntu 9.10--which is only in alpha--but in 9.04,
"Jaunty Jackalope." I will try it again and see if it now works--I've
been using Synaptic because it seems to have much more flexiblity.
KPackageKit seemed to omit too much in the way of features--but
perhaps I have not given it a fair shot.
