[Bug 339945] [NEW] Kubuntu 8.10 - ALC888 no microphone

When I try to use the integrated microphone, no sound is registered.

My machine: Acer Aspire 5930G
Kubuntu 8.10 (with backports) updated at 09/03/2009

Kmix and Alsamixer gives the same results
Channels enabled: mic, front mic, capture  1, capture 2 (all volumes setted to max - I hear white noise fromm the loudspeaker)

needless to say that the integrated microphone works regularly in M$
Windows
