Can some Ubuntu qt packager please have a look at this?

I've put quite a lot of personal time, and even more computer runtime,
into trying to get this fixed. I've posted the relevant modifications as
well as instructions how to integrate them. I'm clobbering my PPA with
almost 1 GiB of packages for this, even though they have been outdated
less than a month after publishing them.

On the other hand, this bug hasn't seen much useful comments from devs since about 5 months. I would like to know
1. whether you are going to fix this for Jaunty, in order to get usable qt backtraces there
2. whether my patches lead in the right direction, or if they are unacceptable for some reason
3. whether it makes sense to update my PPA, or if I should simply delete those packages 'cause noone else cares
4. whether the updated intrepid packages might be placed in some team PPA, to save space in my own PPA
