[Bug 303777] [NEW] Kubuntu 8.10 Update Notifier does not decrement when updates applied

Kubuntu 8.10 fresh install via Wubi, with updates applied.

Update Notifier says "2 software updates are available"

Clicked to bring up Adept and installed one of the updates (leaving
upgrade to libtool downgraded to get KDevelop to work).

Update Notifier still says "2 software updates are available" - clicking
to bring up Adept only shows the one.
