Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kubuntu-desktop

I'm working with kubuntu since 5.10. Now, i use version 8.04 with kde 3.5.10
I've tried to install the 8.10 version, but I did'nt succeed because I've no connection on the net. The only answer I received is "not know".
During a Linux User Group session I succeeded to obtain a contact, but at home, it's impossible. The connection is with ethernet
I've tried re installed the kubuntu 8.04 kde 4.0 version and had no problems. After upgrading to the 8.10 version, I losed the connection.
Some days ago, I tried the 9.04 alpha5 version. Even with the live-cd and trying to install, I had no more success.
I also tried concurrent distros (fedora and opensuse) with success.
As I like to work with kubuntu (because Debian) I'm back to 8.04 regularly updated

I hope you'll understand my bad english.
Thanks by advance
