Just had some other software in my PPA which conflicted with building a kile that can actually run on intrepid. I got rid of that now, so a new kile package for intrepid is there when it finishes building.

kdvi is an kde3 application, so could be that it is part of the problem; in jaunty okular will be the default dvi-viewer instead.
