Also wanted to mention this is Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit.  This is a fresh
install -- I installed 8.10 then immediately did the dist upgrade.

Mobo: ASUS M3N78 Pro
Processor:  AMD Phenom 9500

Relevant software versions:
  xorg:  Installed: 1:7.4~5ubuntu18
  nvidia-glx-180:  Installed: 180.44-0ubuntu1
