See last comment of Bug #97341 for a solution that worked fine for me:

Kaffeine -> Settings ->xine Engine Parameters -> Video -> driver: change
from "auto" to "xshm"

Maybe somebody can provide some technical background infos, why this
works and if it is the best driver to use....
