This problem does indeed seem to be related to the fact that the power
went off. One of the scripts dpkg looks for after installation is either
corrupted or not present, which is causing issues. While this is not
anything we can fix from our end, I'm sure it's still an issue of
considerable importance to you. I am therefore converting this into a
support question so that you can get help resolving the issue.
