[Bug 415023] Re: brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100

Hi,

It's been quite some time since the release and my U100 is still
unusable with Karmic (brightness flickers, not usb hotplug, no SD card
hotplug, webcam doesn't work)

I had to reinstall 9.04 (Which works perfectly with this netbook, btw).
Such serious regressions shouldn't really occur in a distro as popular
as Ubuntu.


-- side note: the brightness bug also occurs in the just-released Fedora 12, and didn't happen in 11. maybe this can shed some light on the module causing the problem.
