[Bug 487075] [NEW] System Settings won't switch off Proxy

Some months ago I used to connect to the Internet through a proxy, which
I entered in the System Settings. Some time later I set it back to
"Connect to the Internet directly", forgot all about it, and didn't use
the computer for quite a while.

Now I have the problem that some applications (such as the kpackagekit
updater and certain plasma widgets) still seem to be trying to connect
through the proxy server, even though System Settings is set to connect
directly. KPackagekit for example fetches the list of updates just fine,
but when it comes to installing the updates, it says it can't connect
because the IP of the proxy server refused the connection.

With the proxy switched off in System Settings > Network Settings,
./kde/share/config/kioslaverc looked like the following:

I manually edited the file and removed the entire [Proxy Settings]
thing, now things seem to be fine again. Is there a bug in System
Settings that prevents changes from being written into the config file
maybe?
