On Karmic, running KDE 4.3.1, I just attempted this a few times on 3
different machines (1 desktop, 1 laptop, 1 netbook) all running the
latest Karmic and I was unable to reproduce this. In the past suspend
never worked for me, so I was happy to try this out and I am happy I can
suspend again :)

Are you still experiencing this issue? What is your system specs? I use
all Intel here and I am not having any issues at this time. Thanks!
