[Bug 445524] [NEW] konsole screen garbled

Binary package hint: kdebase

When starting a fresh konsole window (so before resizing, etc.), the screen appears garbled:
 - the cursor is offset an extra position from the prompt
 - typing a character inserts it at the correct position, 1 character of space after the prompt, but displays the cursor two characters too far to the right
 - in vi (vim-full installed), moving the cursor through the file changes its line length, by making characters disappear
 - reset doesn't improve the above points
