[Bug 442683] Re: Upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 - could not install the upgrades

Confirmed 
on a Thinkpad T42p running Kubuntu 9.04 with all updates.
The Network Upgrade just stops after downloading with a non-helpful error message.
The remedy command dpkg --configure -a does not help.
KPackageManager displays now about 480 upgradable packages and 350 blocked packages!
