Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdepim

When I first started using kmail at work, several co-workers commented
how my email (plain-text AND HTML) looked like crap. After looking into
things, it became apparent that word-wrap was the culprit. Given the
diversity of size, especially width, of today's monitors, setting a hard
word-wrap in email is a bad, bad idea. Yet, this is precisely what KMail
defaults to.

Given that this makes emails sent from kmail appear unprofessional, I
would like to propose that Kubuntu ship with word wrap disabled in
KMail. If a user really prefers this behavior, it's still in the menu
and can be turned back on easily. For everyone else, better looking
emails, regardless of the width of the screen used to display the text.

In my kmailrc file, this setting was on the 95th line.

word-wrap=false

I would upload my kmailrc, but there's quite a bit of personal info in
the file. If requested, I can scrub my default carrier information and
upload the file.
