Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Release: 9.04

konsole:
  Installed: 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1
  Candidate: 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1
  Version table:
 *** 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1 0
        500 http://ubuntu.mirror.frontiernet.net jaunty-backports/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     4:4.2.2-0ubuntu4 0
        500 http://ubuntu.mirror.frontiernet.net jaunty/main Packages
        500 http://mirrors.kernel.org jaunty/main Packages

To duplicate, you will need konsole and a large text file, like syslog.

1. start konsole
2. use 'less' to open /var/log/syslog (or any file with a few windows' worth of text)
3. scroll down a page or two
4. scroll up line by line
- EXPECT the file to scroll up a line at a time
- GET the third line repeated all the way down to the next-to-last line, with the : prompt on the very last line

I get the same results with 'less' 'view' and 'vim' whether in
/bin/bash or /bin/tcsh whether within screen or not. Also it doesn't
seem to matter if konsole is started with the menubar enabled or
disabled. It is consistent.
