[Bug 424681] [NEW] First chat/message window/tab stop displaying accents when there 2 or more others opened

Public bug reported:

After opening more than one window/tab the accents stop working only on
the first window/tab. The keyboard is set to Brazilian ABNT2 and the
environment to English UK.

Kubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.2.2
Kopete  0.70.2 (latest from the repository as for Sep. 05-2009
