There is a patch/fix someone else has been working on. The patches are
close to being done (afaik) and once they are in the go-oo git repo it
will be a matter of pulling them from there or the debian packages.

There is also a few upstream bugs related to the file picker:

If we reach alpha6 and the patches still haven't been integrated into
go-oo I will poke the dev and see if I can begin merging them in for
some of these fixes.
