In my case too something broke VLC and Flash (no sound!), but I'm not
sure it was Kaffeine.

In my case, Kaffeine *does* still have sound! (And I guess it's Xine-
based, not Gstreamer.)

Do you have sound in Kaffeine? (Just for identifying the situation, not
that I could help you.)
