Tried to do as you suggested; installation of kdebase-workspace-dbg
failed:

Failed to fetch
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/k/kde4libs/kdelibs5-dbg_4.3.1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.140 80]

I guess, without it the stacktrace would be useless.

Also, as I described, the crash happed most often at start-up. Is it
possible to attach to this process at its first run? (I guess, I could
try renaming kwin to kwin.orig and putting a shell script that will do
these commands and put it in place of kwin binary?
