Ah, thank you for clearing this.

I must have missed the "copy skeleton" option when I first noticed that
users created with kuser where set up so differently from other methods
(independenly from the debian mechanisms). With the default to "copy
skeleton" the difference might get less visible, though hooks, default
group settings etc. would still be different.

So I guess I can close this bug now, as duplicate of Bug #379397 /
#379399, since using the debian usertools) will deal with it.
