Using the dgetlp (from the ubuntu-dev-tools package, you can:

dgetlp
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37155676/eglibc_2.10.1-0ubuntu16.dsc

and get the source for the proposed fix for Karmic and build it
yourself.
