Hi,

You seem to be quite knowledgeable about this issue/RTL implementations
in general. However, this appears to be a problem with KDE in general,
and not a bug in Kubuntu's packaging of KDE. The best way to move
forward here is to report this bug directly to KDE so that the
developers working on RTL language implementations can work with you
directly in resolving/debugging text selection. This also gives the
benefit of the bugfix being available for all distributions since the
work done fixing it would be done at the KDE level.

Thanks for the report all the same, and have a nice day. I am closing
this report here as it is a problem with KDE itself, and not a packaging
issue on our end.
