[Bug 583526] [NEW] fake_embolden patch breaks monospace fonts

Public bug reported:

the patch kubuntu_09_use_ft_glyph_embolden_to_fake_bold breaks monospace
fonts. It makes the resulting text consume more width and as a result
text is cut in the konsole, for example.
