Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

When you install kubuntu-desktop you can't see anywhere your hardisk
usage.

you have to enable the feature on dolphin
or you have to install kdf
or you have to install kinfocenter

if you don't get these packages or you don't enable the feature in dolphin you simply don't know how much free space there is
this is silly. other distribution like sabayon got kdf or kinfocenter i don't remember

sudo apt-get install kinfocenter kdf

i guess kdf is the smaller but the best think is to modify dolphin
configuration file

kdesudo kate /usr/share/kde4/config.kcfg/dolphin_generalsettings.kcfg

<entry name="ShowSpaceInfo" type="Bool">
            <label>Show the space information in the statusbar</label>
            <default>true</default>
        </entry>

but for some reason i can't get it with this modifcations dunno :S
