Platform: VirtualBox 4.0.12 r72916 on Ubuntu 10.04 2.6.38-11 generic
Live CD: [Kubuntu] oneiric-desktop-i386.iso (Beta 1 20110831)
Preconditions:
- An availble extra partition
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start machine with live CD mounted
2) Select "Start Kubuntu"
3) In Ubiquity, select "Try Ubuntu"
4) Wait for live session to start
5) Click Application Launcher → Applications → System → Partition Editor
6) Edit the available partition
- New ext3 filesystem
- Label: casper-rw
7) Exit Partition Editor
8) Click Click Application Launcher → Leave → Shutdown
9) Confirm shutdown
Expected result:
- Computer shuts down
Actual Result:
- Shut down confirmation dialog is closed, but system still running.
Note: it's possible to shut down through the terminal ("sudo poweroff")
