[Bug 827633] [NEW] Cannot start X session in fail safe mode

When I choose "Fail safe" session from the X login manager, the session
immediately exits to the login manager before any windows are displayed.
The following output is recorded in .xsession-errors:

Xsession: X session started for cubranic at Mon Jul 15 07:34:45 PDT 2011
x-terminal-emulator: Fatal IO error: client killed
konsole(1437) Konsole::SessionManager::~SessionManager: Konsole SessionManager destroyed with session
s still alive
