[Bug 910178] [NEW] The grab area on the splitters are too small to easily grab.

Public bug reported:

I have extreme difficulty grabbing the splitter handles in QtCreator.  I
have messed with the mouse/trackpad settings in unity, and very
carefully tried for ten minutes with only one successful resize.  Can
you make the grab area a bit bigger.  I finally had to change my screen
resolution from 1600x1050 to 800x600 to achieve success.
