Public bug reported:
Settings made in 'View' menu such as 'Dynamic word wrap', 'Show line
numbers' and other aren't saved between Kate starts. It's independent on
Session mechanism i.e. if one save session or don't save session the
result is the same: settings are lost on the next startup. In Kate
settings files in ~/.kde4/share/config settings are either absent, they
simply aren't written there. Cleaning Kate settings files out of disk
also don't help.
There's no such a bug in Kate built from sources, the problem is reproducible ONLY on Ubuntu.
To reproduce:
1. Open Kate and press F6, F10 and F11 (that turns on dynamic word-wrap, bookmarks strip and line numbers).
2. Close Kate.
3. Open Kate again and mention that no settings made are restored. To restore them you should repeat p. 1 every Kate startup.
