[Bug 885124] [NEW] kmenuedit does not correctly handle the OnlyShowIn field

Public bug reported:

A KDE bug (#283579 [1]) makes it impossible to add new menu entries to
the application launcher due to kmenuedit incorrectly handling the
.desktop field OnlyShowIn [2]. I submitted a patch to the KDE bug
tracker, but I guess it'll take time for someone to pick it up. Since
it's a small and non-invasive patch that restores a pretty important
feature (adding to the launcher menu), perhaps it can be considered for
inclusion into an upcoming Ubuntu version of kde-workspace?

The KDE bug's comments 8, 14 and 15 in particular explain the bug and
the patch.

The patch was made against kde-workspace-4:4.7.2-0ubuntu1.
